Frameworks or Frameups?
As Frameworks for the various
disciplines continue to be issued by SED, it becomes ever clearer
that the development of politically correct attitudes and
behaviors remain an essential part of the outcomes or standards.
Thus, in the Framework for English Language Arts we find as a
project "Collecting and Producing a Family History," the need for
"incorporating in the curriculum muticultural texts," and the
"focusing on meaning without undue attention to minor errors."
The Social Studies Framework proved so controversial that it had
to be rewritten.
